Reorganization Meeting

Monday, December 3, 2001

The Board of Directors of Kutztown Area School District met for the annual reorganization board meeting on Monday, December 3, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. in the multi-purpose room of Greenwich Elementary School pursuant to due notice to board members and the public.

Present Patricia Bealer, James Kramer, Donald Meyers, Dennis Ritter,

Members Don Vymazal, William Yurvati, Carl Ziegler

Absent Dale Reppert, Ben Haas

Also Brenda Winkler-Superintendent, Nickolas Sosik, Jr.-Business Manager,

Present Geri Miller, Lu Palmer, Mark Erb, Barry Adams, Eric Erb, Nick Lazo, Michele

Fragnito, Barbara Richard, Leroy Merkel, Kent Dahlquist, Rita Robertson, Neil Robertson, Shelby Brett, Katherine Ace, Laura Ace, Zachary Ace, Sally Shane, Lauren Shane, Robyn Jasko-The Patriot, Suzanne Barron, Lynmarie Schroeder, Rita Schwalm, Wanda Cronrath, Debbie Dietrich, Lori Keiser, Anna Starner, Jed Starner, Annie Adam, Ellen Dolbin-Adam.

Call to The meeting was called to order at 7:09 p.m. by Don Vymazal.

Order The meeting was tape recorded.

Temporary Motion made by Dennis Ritter, seconded by William Yurvati, to nominate

Chairperson Don Vymazal as temporary chairperson for the purpose of reorganization.

Motion carried unanimously for Don Vymazal as temporary chairperson.

Swearing in of Temporary Chairperson Don Vymazal swore in Kent Dahlquist, James Kramer,

New Members and Patricia Bealer. Barbara Richard swore in Don Vymazal. They recited the

oath of office.

President Motion made by Donald Meyers, seconded by Patricia Bealer, to nominate

Don Vymazal as president of the school board.

Motion made by Carl Ziegler, seconded by Donald Meyers, to close nominations for president.

Motion carried unanimously.

Motion carried unanimously for Don Vymazal for Board President.

Vice Motion made by Dennis Ritter, seconded by Patricia Bealer, to nominate

President Carl Ziegler as vice-president of the school board.

Motion made by James Kramer, seconded by Donald Meyers, to close nominations for vice-president.

Motion carried unanimously.

Motion carried unanimously for Carl Ziegler for Board Vice-President.

Committee Motion made by William Yurvati, seconded by Kent Dahlquist to approve

Members and committee members for Budget and Finance, Policy and Curriculum, Extra-

Association Curricular, Personnel, Feasibility, Negotiations and Facilities committees and

Representatives representatives for the Berks E.I.T. Bureau, Pennsylvania School Boards

Assoc. (PSBA), and Berks County Technical Center (BCTC) as detailed in

Exhibit A.

Motion carried unanimously.

Mr. Ritter will continue as representative to the Berks County Intermediate

Unit. His term ends June 30, 2003.

2002 School Motion made by Kent Dahlquist, seconded by Dennis Ritter, to approve the

Board and 2002 board meeting and committee meeting dates, places, and times as per

Committee Exhibit B including the annual Reorganization Meeting which is scheduled for

Meeting December 2, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at the Maxatawny Elementary School.

Dates Motion carried unanimously.

Adjournment Motion made by Patricia Bealer, seconded by Kent Dahlquist, to adjourn the meeting at 7:28 p.m.

Motion carried unanimously.
