What are the school hours?
Office Hours:
- During the school year: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- During the summer: Monday through Thursday 7:30-4:30 PM; Office closed on Fridays through
- School Day for all children: 9:00 AM-3:30 PM
- Teachers are in the building from 8:15 AM-3:45 PM
What time should students arrive?
Students
should arrive at school by 8:45 AM. While school officially begins at 9
AM, students benefit from having time to unpack their belongings and
plan for the day. Students arriving between 8:15 AM and 8:45 AM are
supervised in the cafeteria and the gym. All students report to their classrooms at
8:45 AM.
Can I drop my child off at school before 8:15 AM?
For
your child's safety, please plan to have your child arrive at school
between 8:15 AM and 8:45 AM. Supervision of children at GES begins at 8:15 AM.
What time is my child dismissed from school?
On a regular school day, Greenwich Elementary students being picked up by a family member are dismissed at 3:20 PM.
On a regular school day, Greenwich Elementary students taking a bus home are dismissed as their respective bus arrives beginning at 3:30 PM.
On a scheduled early dismissal day, Greenwich Elementary students being picked up by a family member are dismissed at 11:40 AM.
On a scheduled early dismissal day, Greenwich Elementary students taking a bus home are dismissed as their respective bus arrives beginning at 11:45 AM
