Greenwich and Kutztown Elementary Schools Named Title I Distinguished Schools

Title I Distinguished Schools

The Pennsylvania Department of Education has informed us that Greenwich-Lenhartsville Elementary School and Kutztown Elementary School have been named two of 158 Title I Distinguished Schools! This prestigious honor is awarded to the highest 5% performing Title I schools in the Commonwealth! Congratulations to our elementary staff and students!

"Each year, the Division of Federal Programs honors the top performing Title I schools in Pennsylvania. This year, we will be using the approved ESEA Flexibility waiver designation of Reward: High Achievement and Reward: High Progress. Reward: High Achievement Schools are the highest 5% of Title I schools based on ELA and Math PSSA proficiency that met all four Annual Measurable Objectives (AMOs). Reward: High Progress Schools are the highest 5% of Title I Schools based on ELA and math PVAAS growth that met all four AMOs. We have selected 158 Title I schools to be named Distinguished Schools based on that criterion. Using this criterion, Kutztown Elementary School has been selected to be a Title I Distinguished School in the 2018-2019 school year."
