Mr. Christian T. Temchatin
Superintendent of Schools

On August 12, 2019, Christian Temchatin was commissioned as the Superintendent of Schools for the Kutztown Area School District. Effective July 1, 2023, Mr. Temchatin began a new 4-year term as Superintendent, extending through June 2027. Since joining Kutztown Area School District in January 2018 as Assistant Superintendent, Mr. Temchatin has successfully led a series of initiatives that have improved both the academic and operational performance of the district.

Before joining Kutztown, Mr. Temchatin served as Principal of Pennridge Central Middle School for three and a half years. His previous administrative experience includes three years as Principal and one year as Assistant Principal of North Schuylkill Jr/Sr High School. In the classroom, Mr. Temchatin taught Secondary Social Studies in the Hazleton Area School District.

Mr. Temchatin holds a Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility from Lehigh University, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Bloomsburg University. He resides in Breinigsville with his wife, Nina, and their three children.
