Mr. Christian T. Temchatin
Superintendent of Schools

On August 12, 2019, Christian Temchatin was commissioned as the Superintendent of Schools for the Kutztown Area School District. On July 1st, Mr. Temchatin will begin a new 4 year term as Superintendent through June 2027. Mr. Temchatin joined the Kutztown Area School District in January of 2018 as Assistant Superintendent. Before joining Kutztown Area, he served as the Principal of Pennridge Central Middle School in Bucks County for three and a half years. Mr. Temchatin’s previous administrative experience includes three years as Principal and one as Assistant Principal of North Schuylkill Jr/Sr High School. In the classroom, he taught Secondary Social Studies in the Hazleton Area School District.

He holds a Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility from Lehigh University, a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Bloomsburg University. He lives in Breinigsville with his wife, Nina, and three children.
