  • Herzlich Willkommen!

Welcome to the Kutztown Area Middle School German I website! I have been teaching since January, 2009 and started at Kutztown at the start of the 2013-2014 academic year. Before teaching German in Kutztown, I taught science and German for three-and-a-half years in Sanford, North Carolina. It has been my dream to teach only German, and I am beyond thrilled to be able to do so in such a beautiful and German-friendly area. I earned a B.S. in psychobiology at Lebanon Valley College and my post-baccalaureate German teaching certificate at Millersville University.

In German I this year, students will build a foundation for further study of German language and the cultures of the German-speaking peoples. The end goal of German I is for students to demonstrate a basic understanding of the skills and knowledge needed to interact with others in German through the presentation of information, concepts, and ideas to an audience on a variety of topics, written and orally. I am very excited to help your child gain new understandings of a world language as well as gain a more global perspective from our ever-changing world.
