Elementary Program

The Elementary Art Education Program provides maximum opportunity for each student to have hands-on experiences in the production of art, enhanced by the integration of art history, cultural references,  geometric and general mathematical terms. Elementary Art classes will encourage critical and creative problem-solving skills, as well as appreciation for historical and contemporary art works. The elementary Art  program is designed to encourage perceptual awareness, through the involvement of all of the senses, and allows for the integration of other curriculums, as art readily relates to all educational experiences. The students will establish a continuing portfolio for the purpose of generating ideas, recording visual incidence, review of art vocabulary/concepts, and for assessment of personal growth.
