    Dear Greenwich-Lenhartsville Elementary School Families:

Greetings and Happy New Year from Greenwich.  I hope you all had a wonderful winter break and a happy holiday season. I am proud to announce that I graduated from Nuemann University on December 22, 2021 with a Doctoral Dgeree in Educational Leadership (Ed.D).  It was a long and grueling 4 years of studying, researching, and writing, but all worth it.

As we move into January we move into winter and closer to the end of the second trimester.  Hard to believe, but we are almost half way through our 2021-2022 school year.  January 13th marks halfway point of the 2021-2022 school year.

Historically, January brings us harsh weather.  Please continue to dress your child in warm layers, as they will go out for recess as long as the temperature is above 30 degrees and there is no precipitation.  We do have a few coats here for those that may occasionally forget, but please understand that our stock is quite limited in both style and size.

January also brings us the 106th PA State Farm Show in Harrisburg.  The staff at Greenwich would like to wish all our 4H students and Jr. FFA students the best of luck this year in all events as well as when they show their cattle, swine, sheep, poultry, or bunnies.  Do your best!!

As a reminder, should you have any questions or concerns regarding your child’s learning here at GES, please contact your child’s teacher(s). We want to make sure you are well informed of all the academic subjects and curriculum your child is learning.  Please also note that a wealth of information regarding our curriculum, including Eureka Math, can be found on the district website under the tab “Curriculum” on our district’s homepage

    Dates to remember:

JANUARY 3:  Students return to school

JANUARY 5: PTO meeting- (7:00 PM)

JANUARY 8 –15: 106th PA Farm Show in Harrisburg

    January 14: 11:40 AM Dismissal

JANUARY 17: Martin Luther King Day (No School)

JANUARY 17: School Board meeting – KMS (7:30 PM)

Thank you again for all the well wishes and holiday gifts I received from students and families.

    Happy New Year,

    Dr. Anderson
