Dear Greenwich-Lenhartsville Elementary School Families:
Greetings from Greenwich. We are now into the second trimester of the 2019-2020 school year. Fall is in full swing and the weather is changing dramatically. The warm weather was holding on, but it seems the cold weather is beginning to arrive.
November is a very busy month here at Greenwich. We hold our parent teacher conferences, celebrate and learn about colonial days with hands on activities, celebrate Veteran’s Day with a wonderful school-wide assembly, and we visit the high school to get a sneak peak performance of the high school musical. All of this happens before November 27!
As we move into the month of Thanksgiving, our children here will be reminded of the gift of thanks through words and deeds. You will see projects coming home that have a Thanksgiving theme. Take the time to talk with your child about the things they are learning at school. This month, they will be learning about the importance of being thankful.
I am thankful for the opportunity to work with a dedicated and attentive staff, well-mannered and kind students, and caring families. I am also eternally thankful for my family, my beautiful children, and my loving and brave wife, Lori. Though we celebrate and recognize the importance of Thanksgiving this month, let us not forget the importance of being thankful in the other months of the school year too.
