Word Study Homework
Directions: You may choose any 3 assignments to do for homework that make a Tic-Tac-Toe. The assignments must be three in a row down, across, or diagonal. Please circle the activities that you choose and staple them to this paper when you turn them in on Friday. Have fun☺
Have an adult test you on your words. Attach the checked practice test to your Tic-Tac-Toe board.
Write your ten of your words on cards (make two sets) and play “Memory Match” with someone.
Write a letter to a friend or relative using your 10 pattern words. Use proper letter format, and underline each pattern word.
Create four Frayer models or word scrolls for words that you don’t currently use in your speaking and writing.
Think of a creative activity to do with your words.
Use the Spelling City link for the list to play games with the words.
Write your words in alphabetical order.
Write your words in a creative, colorful way. Use colors or other materials to show either the meaning of the word or one of its features (e.g., prefix, suffix, long vowel, short vowel).
Part of Speech
Write your words in columns based on their part of speech.
