Welcome to the Facilities Request system for the Kutztown Area School District. The real estate facilities of the school district consist of four education buildings, one administration building, one athletic stadium, various athletic fields and playgrounds, and wonderful auditorium/stage space. These facilities support K-12 public education, and also support activities in the community and extra-curricular events.
The KASD School Board recognizes that although the primary purpose of the school buildings, facilities, and property is to provide students with an appropriate learning environment, the School Board and Administration allows school facilities (buildings, grounds, and equipment) available to individuals and community groups in accordance with School Board Policy 707, provided the use does not interfere with any KASD educational, activity, and athletic programs.. Please see below the policy and facility rental rates related to the usage of all facilities the School Board and Administration has developed.
The Kutztown Area School District has beautiful, well-maintained facilities. The maintenance of these facilities is the responsibility of ALL who use them. The sponsoring individual or group of any Use of Facilities will be held financially liable for any damage to the facility whether the damage was intentional or unintentional. The supervising adult is responsible to ensure all participants stay in the area where the event is taking place. All KASD buildings and grounds are drug, alcohol, and tobacco free.
Any organization that is NOT school sponsored must have an insurance policy of $1,000,000 general liability, $1,000,000 property damages, $1,000,000 Abuse and Molestation insurance policy, and Group Accident Insurance which covers volunteers and participants. The Kutztown Area School District shall be named as an additional insured on all policies on a primary non-contributory basis with waiver of subrogation in favor of the school district.
All interested parties wanting to reserve our KASD facilities must do the following items:

By completing the online application (see link below for application and directions), the supervising adult signifies that he/she is aware of the district’s regulations regarding this use, is responsible for the group, will see that the buildings, grounds, and equipment are not misused, that groups have proper adult supervision, and that the buildings, grounds, and equipment are used in conformity with the rules and regulations of the KASD Board of Education. It is hereby also understood that school activities have priority for the use of the district facilities. This applies for any school activity that must be rescheduled. Note: Ignoring local ordinances, e.g., parking on the grass, handicap parking spots, road or other non-designated parking areas, may result in municipal fines. Failure to adhere to the above regulations may result in the revocation of facility use privileges.
It is understood that all community groups using outside playing fields will not play (practice or games) on fields during/after excessive rain. Games should be canceled when it is obvious that fields will be damaged. Damage done to fields will be the responsibility of the group in charge. Authority to decide also rests with the School District Director of Athletics, Student Activities, and Community Relations, who has the final right to decide whether or not to cancel events during periods of excessive rain, hazardous weather, or inclement weather.
In the event that school is closed due to inclement weather, power outages, or hazardous weather, all use of facilities is cancelled for Categories II - V. Category I will be at the discretion of the administration.
