    Keystone Exams - End of course assessments designed to assess proficiency in Algebra 1, Biology, and Literature. Each assessment has two modules which consist of multiple choice and open-ended responses (also called constructed response items). 

    PSSA - The annual Pennsylvania System School Assessment (PSSA) is a standards-based, criterion-referenced assessment which provides students, parents, educators and citizens with an understanding of student and school performance related to the attainment of proficiency of the academic standards. 

    Standards - Standards identify what a student should know and be able to do at varying grade levels. 

    Future Ready Index - The proposed Future Ready PA Index will serve as Pennsylvania’s one-stop location for comprehensive information about school success, and will use a dashboard model to highlight how schools are performing and making progress on multiple indicators.

    Targeted Interventions - A targeted intervention is a program of instruction designed to help students who are struggling with one or more academic skill within a subject area such as mathematics or literacy.

    School Performance Profile (SPP) - The Pennsylvania School Performance Profile offers a web-based resource for districts/schools to communicate performance results to various constituencies and assist districts and schools in aligning and focusing resources for continuous improvement. The SPP will be replaced by the Future Ready Index.

    Act 82 - Signed into law on June of 2013, Act 82 requires the use of certain rating tools and provided guidelines for their use for Pennsylvania teachers and administrators.

    Pennsylvania Value Added Assessment System (PVAAS) - PVAAS is a statistical analysis of Pennsylvania (PA) state assessment data which provides Pennsylvania districts and schools with growth data to add to achievement data,

    Correlation Data - Under Act 82, principals are evaluated partially on the correlation between the ratings they give their teachers and the building's SPP score.
