Dr. Scott W. Hand
Director of Educational Technology
Dr. Scott Hand is the Director of Educational Technology in the Kutztown Area School District. Dr. Hand has a background in educational technology administration, online learning, professional development and as a technology coach and high school media teacher. He has been an adjunct professor at Point Park University and Robert Morris University’s graduate School of Education. Dr. Hand worked in the Greater Pittsburgh community serving on the Southwestern Regional Council of Volunteer’s of America and has chaired the Television and Video Teachers Consortium. He is currently serving the Kutztown community through the Arts & Innovation Incubator project as part of the Kutztown Community Partnership and working in the Greater Reading community co-leading the EPIC Network as part of a $500,000 grant from Pennsylvania's PAsmart initiative. He has also worked inside of his prior community serving as a youth director. Dr. Hand graduated from Robert Morris University with degrees in English and Communications, earned his Master's degree in Business Education at RMU, and his doctoral degree in Education from Regent University.
Three major spheres of influence have impacted the work and writing of Dr. Hand: Education, Media, Architecture. His work at KASD is able to culminate these experiences and passions for the benefit of our learning community.
