Mrs. Katie Hess
Hello, First Graders and Families!
My name is Mrs. Katie Hess and I am so happy to be your first grade teacher. When I was growing up, I lived in Kutztown and I went to KES, too! It’s a really special place to learn and make friends and I love being a teacher here. I have been teaching for 20 years and have taught kindergarten, first, and second grade. I’m also certified as a reading specialist and an instructional technology specialist. I love to teach, but I also love to learn. I spend a lot of time reading and I enjoy taking classes to learn new things. My husband, daughter, and I live in Kutztown and we have four spoiled pets; two dogs and two cats. I am very excited to meet all of you and welcome you to our Pete the Cat themed classroom.
