Welcome to the Cougars Reading Den!

I'm Kristin Haring, the 8th-grade reading teacher.  I love teaching at the Kutztown Middle School!  I am a proud Cougar graduating from Kutztown Area School District and have been teaching in the middle school for 19 years. For seven years I was the 8th-grade Learning Support teacher.  After receiving my Master's Degree in Education with a certification as a Reading Specialist, I became the 8th-grade reading teacher.  Each day I am excited to share with my students something that I have read whether it is a book, newspaper article, a magazine blurb or an educational blog. I'm fervent about sharing my passion for reading with my students and colleagues.

Besides teaching, my husband and I are proud parents of our son, Logan and our daughter, Madison.  We are busy bustling from school and sporting functions. In our spare time, we love kayaking, hiking/walking, and fishing and helping build a better community.  You can always find me reading!
