My name is Mr. John Ebner.
I have been teaching in the Kutztown Area School District for the past 24 years. I spent 12 of those years in 1st grade, 2 years in 2nd grade, and 1 year in 3rd grade. This is my 9th year as the Elementary Technology Specialist.
At the start of the 2017-18, the district changed the Elementary Computer Lab to now be the Innovation and Design Studio. In addition to learning about our Macbook laptops, the students will be learning about the Google Suite of applications, computer coding through Code.org, and robotics. Students will also experience a variety of STEM/STEAM activities which will help us learn about the engineering design process.
In 2008, I became 1 of only 100 teachers in the state of PA to be named a Keystone Technology Integrator. In 2016 I became certified as a Level 1 Google for Education educator and as an Apple Teacher. I am presently working on becoming certified as a Level II Google for Education educator.
