Drop-off and Pick-up Procedures:
Students who are walking or being dropped-off should arrive by 7:35 a.m. at the latest. For the safety of everyone involved in the morning commute please follow these procedures:
•    Students walking must stay on the sidewalk and cross at designated crosswalks.
•    Parents dropping off students in the morning should drive straight in to where the Commons (auditorium) entrance is and exit through the parking lot closest to the high school.
•    No “u-turns” in the middle school parking lot. We had some near misses last year with parents and buses.

Remember To Submit Excuse Blanks:
Attendance is extremely important to every student’s success. Please do everything you can at home to ensure good attendance for our students. When a student is absent, please remember the following:

•    Calling the school to alert us to the absence is appreciated. If we do not here from you
the school office aide calls to make certain our attendance is accurate and that parents know there is an absence.
•    Written excuse blanks (it can be written on anything) must be submitted within three days of the absence.
•     Students are responsible for finding out what work was missed and completing that work.

Vacation Request Form:
Please pick up an official vacation request form in the main office.  All requests should be submitted 30 days in advance of the vacation.

Bullying Prevention:
Please go over the Bullying Prevention Packet included in this mailing with your child.  After going over it with your child please sign and return it to your child’s homeroom teacher. 

Parent Teacher Organization:
Our PTO is looking for new members. It can be an exciting way to get involved in your child’s education and the school. Meetings are held at 6:00 p.m. usually the first Monday of each month.
